Bonnie Lords, LCSW
Mental Health Advocate + Girl Mom + Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) + Healer + Feminist
Creator and Clinical Supervisor of Epiphany Healing Collective. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over fifteen years of experience deeply rooted in helping women heal from trauma, navigate intimate relationships, and harness their own power to create the life they desire.
I bring all aspects of my life to the work that I do with my clients. The messiness—and magic—of motherhood. Years of providing clinical supervision to new therapists learning how to care for themselves while caring for others. Holding space for people processing the trauma of gender-based violence like sexual assault and intimate partner abuse. A lifetime of seeing how society treats women—and how powerful it is to create a safe space for courageous stories of pain and incredible resilience.
I honor survivors and strive to raise the next generation in a more just world. I know that to do so, I must take care of myself, too. I’ve navigated issues typical of those in helping professions: burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue. I have struggled with the ever-elusive “balance” between career and home that women have been expected to achieve. I am raising two young girls in a world that still doesn’t know how to respect their voices.
The world can be a little daunting sometimes, can’t it? But I believe there can be purpose and power in the connections and community we build.
I find hope in my daughters’ silly spirits and love being cozy at home watching Bravo TV or getting lost in a DIY home project.
What I’ve come to realize throughout my work as both a therapist and a mom, is that we cannot make lasting change without taking a holistic approach. By considering all aspects of your life, including your emotional wellbeing, physical health, spirituality, self-worth, relationships, and career, we can analyze how each piece contributes to our overall sense of fulfillment in life. When we look at all the parts that make us who we are, we begin to see how we can truly feel whole. Learn more about which modalities I use below.
